Essential Skills Program Review:

After seven successful years, the Essential Skills Program continues to receive positive feedback from the participants. However, to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our members and the City, we will be conducting a review of the program. This review will involve talking to the various City departments and attending CUPE Local 500 meetings of the units and executive. We are anxious to learn how the Essential Skills Program can best serve the needs of both groups. The information gathered will be used to enhance the program.

Until this review is complete, we will not be scheduling courses.

Please watch the bulletin boards for more news and updates regarding this program.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Karen Byzuk at the Local 500 office at 942-1001.
