Media Release: CUPE Local 500/City of Winnipeg Negotiations

After the polls close and the ballots are counted, CUPE Local 500 President Gary Swanson will announce the results of voting on the City of Winnipeg offer of settlement in contract negotiations.

The Union’s negotiating committee has recommended that the members accept the City’s offer. Voting is taking place all day Thursday, March 16.
The agreement, which covers about 5,000 City of Winnipeg workers, expired December 30, 2005.
