Bargaining Update #11 - CUPE Local 500/City of Winnipeg

November 19, 2021 at 4:08 PM

Since our last bargaining update, we met with the Employer on November 9 and 10 to continue negotiations.

As you know, we had hoped to move past our non-monetary items soon and table monetary proposals. We will let you know when that occurs. At this time, discussions continue to be cordial and we remain positive that the remainder of our non-monetary issues can be resolved collaboratively.

Your bargaining committee also met on November 18 to review where we’re at in negotiations and to discuss a plan for moving bargaining forward.

Our next bargaining dates with the employer are scheduled for November 29, December 1 and 2. We will provide you with an update after we have met.

Thank you for your continued patience and solidarity during this process. By sticking together and supporting one another, we can reach a fair and reasonable agreement that meets the priorities of our members.

As always, if you have any questions about bargaining or the bargaining process, please contact us at union@cupe500.mb.ca. You can also call the Local 500 office at 204-942-1001.
