CUPE LOCAL 500/CITY OF WINNIPEG BARGAINING UPDATE #15

June 13, 2017 at 10:10 AM

On June 12, your Negotiating Committee returned to the bargaining table with the City of Winnipeg. Both parties will meet again on Tuesday afternoon (June 13).

As talks continue, we will update you on any progress we make or if there are any significant developments to report.

In the meantime, we wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the support you have given us.  Your Negotiating Committee is committed to doing our utmost to settle this round of bargaining without withdrawing our services.  We remain optimistic that we can reach a fair contract that you can support.

Presidents, Members and Staff Assigned to Bargaining

The president of the Local, the unit presidents, two members at large and staff are assigned to contract negotiations with the City.  During bargaining, if you have a concern or need information, please see your shop steward or a unit officer.  If you’re not sure who they are, call the Local 500 office at 204-942-1001 and they will help you reach a union representative.

Watch for more information

Please continue to check the bulletin board for bargaining updates. You can also check the Local 500 website at cupe500.mb.ca or sign-up for email updates.

In solidarity,

Your Negotiating Committee
