Update #42 - CUPE Local 500/City of Winnipeg Tentative Agreement Highlights/Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)

As you are aware, on October 11, CUPE Local 500 and the City of Winnipeg reached a tentative agreement. Your bargaining committee is recommending members vote to accept the settlement offer.

A copy of the Tentative Agreement Highlights can be found here and Memorandum of Agreement here.

As a reminder, information meetings are being held on Monday, October 24 at 9:00 am (for shift workers) and 7:00 pm at the RBC Convention Centre. The ratification vote will take place on Tuesday, October 25 from 7:00 am – 5:30 pm at the RBC Convention Centre.

Please make every effort to attend one of the information meetings and most importantly, vote on the tentative agreement. Should you have any questions, your bargaining committee will be on hand to answer those questions at the information sessions and at the vote.

Once the ratification vote is complete, the results will be compiled and they will be released. Please keep checking your email, our social media pages, and cupe500.mb.ca for updates. If you have any questions or concerns, you can email us at union@cupe500.mb.ca.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

In solidarity,

Your Negotiating Committee
