CUPE Local 500/City of Winnipeg Negotiations Update - Bulletin #10

May 18, 2017 at 3:01 PM

The Union’s Bargaining Committee met with City on May 15 and 16 to continue negotiations towards a new collective agreement.

We are scheduled to meet again on May 23and have been advised by the City’s Chief Negotiator, that a final offer of settlement will be presented to the Union.

Our goal remains to reach a fair and reasonable collective agreement   that meets the priorities of our members.  The Union’s negotiating committee is doing our utmost to settle this round of bargaining without resorting to any job action.  Until such time as we have had a chance to review the offer of settlement, you may want to be attentive to any discretionary spending.

We will provide further updates to you as more information becomes available.
