Health Care Support Workers’ Week is October 19-23, 2026

CUPE Local 500 proudly recognizes our members at Riverview Health Centre during Health Care Support Workers Week.

Each year, CUPE calls on the Manitoba Government to officially recognize the critical contributions health care support workers make to our province and our health care system.

“Health care support workers make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families every single day,” said Patrick Troughton, President of CUPE Local 500. “Their dedication, compassion and hard work help ensure people receive the care, dignity and support they deserve. They are an essential part of our health care system, and their contributions deserve to be recognized and celebrated.”
