Bargaining Update #1

The Local 500 Bargaining Committee met on February 14th and February 24th to go over and prioritize over 500 proposals that were sent in from the membership through the bargaining survey.

They will meet again on March 7th and 11th to finalize a proposal package.

The Local and employer are set to exchange proposal packages on March 17th.

Please avoid listening to rumours. Don’t believe anything you hear unless it comes from the Union. If you have questions, contact the Local 500 office directly to get the facts. 

As per recent legislation, discussions continue with the employer around the Essential Services Agreement (ESA).
