CUPE Local 500 welcomed Brother Limson Mestito as an Honourary Life member on Friday, October 17, 2025 at a dinner held at the RBC Convention Centre. The dinner was also attended by other Honourary Life members.
CUPE 500 recognizes honorary life members for their outstanding activism and dedication to the Local over an extended period of time. Persons who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service to the Local may also be awarded.
Honourary Life membership can be awarded when the person is within five years of retirement or after retirement or termination of their employment.
