Local 500 Scholarship and Bursary Winners

The Les Butterworth Scholarship Fund, sponsored by Local 500, has awarded one Scholarship of $2,500 and three bursaries of $1,500 each.

The scholarship and bursary program was created to honour Les Butterworth, a past education representative for CUPE. Les dedicated his life to making this a better world for working people.

Since 1981, the Local has proudly awarded over $100,000 through 46 scholarships and 154 bursaries to Local 500 members and their families.
