2009 Budget Process Underway

The City of Winnipeg budget process is currently underway. A review by the Standing Policy Committees and the Executive Policy Committee (EPC) was held the week of March 3 - 10 and the final recommendations will be tabled at EPC on March 19. City Council will conduct its final review and adoption of the budget on March 24.
The union will be watching the budget debate closely and appearing before all necessary Committees of Council. Copies of the CUPE briefs presented will be posted on the website and available from the Local 500 office.
