Call for Expressions of Interest CUPE 500 Bargaining Committee Two (2) Members at Large

Local 500 is in full preparation mode for upcoming contract negotiations with the City of Winnipeg!
In addition to the four representatives from our Units, the Local’s bargaining committee is made up of two (2) additional members at large. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, your Local 500 executive has made the decision to call for expressions of interest to fill these two positions.
Members working at the City of Winnipeg, who are interested in taking an active role on the union’s bargaining committee, are invited to submit the expression of interest form. The form must be returned by no later than Monday, December 14, 2020, at 4:00 pm. Click here to go to the Expression of Interest Form.
Training will be provided to help you transition into this role.
Please also note that during the bargaining process, sub-committees are often formed to deal with specific issues. Each of the sub-committees are represented by members from both the Union and City’s bargaining committee, with other members being brought in who are knowledgeable about the issue.
