On December 18, Local 500 members woring at Canlan Ice Sports Corporation (Highlander location) ratified a new collective agreement. The three-year deal calls for a wage increase of 2.5% each year.
Other highlights include: 100% reimbursement of refrigeration ticket for full-time employees, and 50% reimbursement, for part-time staff.
The current collective agreement expired on October 31, 2015.
