City council approves amendment to civic employee pension plan by a vote of 12-3

On March 21, CUPE Local 500 appeared before Winnipeg City Council to speak in favour of amending the Trust Agreement of the civic employee's pension plan. While city council and the signatory unions had previously agreed to the proposed amendments, approval is required by city council to amend the trust agreement.
