City of Winnipeg Capital and Operating Budget Process - 2019

Today, the City of Winnipeg will be releasing its preliminary draft capital and operating budgets. As always, Local 500 will closely review the budget and make presentations at the various standing committees and/or city council as needed.
We will continue to, as we have done many times in the past, speak out against any attempts to contract out our work, reduce staffing levels and oppose cuts to programs and services.
Winnipeggers deserve a budget that provides the necessary funding and resources to deliver the public services they value and depend on.
We will keep you updated and provide copies of all Local 500 presentations during the budget process.
