Remembrance Day remains as relevant today as it was many years ago. Many of us know someone who was recently involved in peacekeeping or who has lost someone due to conflict somewhere in the world.
The recent tragic events in our nation’s capital and in Quebec against members of our Armed Forces, Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, will undoubtedly be on the minds of Canadians this Remembrance Day. As we reflect on these events, and those throughout the history of our nation, let us honour those who have fallen and paid the ultimate price.
On Remembrance Day, I encourage all of us to take some time to remember the men and women who fought for our freedom and pay tribute to those who bravely continue to serve. Lest We Forget.
