CUPE Local 500/City of Winnipeg salary and benefit increases

The next salary/benefit increases for CUPE Local 500 members working at the City of Winnipeg will take effect on Pay Period #1, 2012.

EFFECTIVE PAY PERIOD #1, 2012:

• General wage increase: 1%.
• Evening and weekend shift premiums increase by five cents ($0.05) per hour.
• Vision Care maximum is increased to:

a) For full-time employees/dependent(s) from two hundred and fifty dollars ($250) to three hundred dollars ($300) per eligible person in a 24 month period and from sixty-five dollars ($65) to seventy-five dollars ($75) for the cost of eye examinations in a 24 month period.

b) For part-time employees/dependent(s) from one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125) to one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) per eligible person in a 24 month period and from thirty-two dollars and fifty cents to thirty-seven dollars and fifty cents ($37.50) for the cost of eye examinations in a 24 month period.

Please note that in accordance with the Local's by-laws, there will be no dues increase in 2011.
