CUPE Local 500/City of Winnipeg Negotiations Update - Bulletin #8

April 11, 2017 at 2:26 PM

The Local 500 bargaining committee met with the employer and conciliator on the evening of April 10th.

During our session, we engaged in some good dialogue regarding the union's proposals and the interpretation of certain clauses in the collective agreement.  There is still more work to be done to reach an agreement.  However, we are optimistic that talks will continue to be productive and we can work towards a fair and reasonable offer to bring to the membership.

We have more bargaining dates scheduled in April and are looking at dates in May to continue talks. We look forward to providing you with more updates following our next bargaining session.

We appreciate your continued patience and support during this process.
