CUPE Local 500/RM of East St. Paul - Bargaining Update #1

Bargaining is set to begin between CUPE Local 500 and the RM of East St. Paul. The current contract expired on December 31, 2020.
On April 15, the Union’s bargaining committee met to finalize our proposal package for this round of negotiations. The Union's proposals were developed based on the membership priorities identified in the bargaining survey. The next step of the process will be to exchange proposals with the Employer.
These are unprecedented times and bargaining will take place at a virtual table. The two parties are scheduled to meet jointly on April 22.
Your bargaining committee will keep you informed through regular bulletin updates. You can find these updates posted in your workplace and on our website. The other way to receive bargaining information is to sign up for email updates at cupe500.mb.ca.
