Local 500 is holding a Steward Orientation/Introduction to Stewarding Workshop as follows:
Friday, October 23 – 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
Saturday, October 24 – 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Room 2B, (2nd Floor), Union Centre

The Steward Orientation is a brief introduction to our Local and our Union. In the Introduction to Stewarding Course, you will learn:
• the role of the steward
• investigating workplace problems
• CUPE’s structure
• filing a grievance
• meeting with management
• dealing with workplace complaints
Please note that the Introduction to Stewarding workshop is a pre-requisite prior to registering for any Steward Learning Series modules.
