Health Care Support Workers’ Week Proclaimed for October 9 – 13, 2017

The Government of Manitoba has proclaimed Health Care Support Workers’ Week for October 9-13, 2017. It is an important time to recognize the tremendous work support workers do every day to help deliver high quality patient care to Manitoba families.
Local 500 represents members at Riverview Health Centre and Winnipeg Regional Health Authority who provide a wide range of health care support services.
“Health care support workers are essential to the well-being and health of all Manitobans,” said Local 500 President Gord Delbridge. “I would like to thank and commend our members for their dedicated efforts each and every day.”
This week, information events, coffee and cake parties, open houses and displays are being organized by CUPE members to celebrate their work.
