Information session held with Public Health Inspectors

On October 12, an information session between the province, the City, the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and the Manitoba Government and General Employees’ Union (MGEU), was held to provide the Public Health Inspectors with a basic overview of their employee transition agreement
Representatives from both CUPE and MGEU were in attendance to answer questions or concerns regarding the transition agreement and process.
The Public Health Inspectors will be given letters of offer from the Province before January 2012 and all transfers will be effective April 1, 2012.
The Local will keep the membership updated as further information becomes available.
