Local 500 Mourns the loss of Liz Nieman

Local 500 is deeply saddened by the loss of Honourary Life and former staff member Elizabeth Nieman (Liz), who passed away on July 8, 2022.
Liz commenced employment with the City of Winnipeg in the Hydro Department on February 9, 1962. On May1, 1965, Liz moved into a position at the Local 500 office where she worked as a valued and highly respected member of the administrative support staff for over 35 years.
In 1996, Liz was inducted into the Honourary Life membership for her meritorious service to Local 500.
Her many years of dedication, commitment and support to the executive, staff and members of Local 500 will not be forgotten.
We extend our heartfelt and deepest condolences to her son Robert (Margo), family and friends.
