Local 500 speaks out on City’s “pay more get less,” proposed operating budget

December 12, 2013 at 11:33 AM

Local 500 President, Mike Davidson, appeared on CJOB radio this morning to comment about the city’s proposed operating budget for 2014.  Brought on to answer questions about the proposed unpaid days off for city employees, Davidson called the 3.5 unpaid days as “unrealistic and a cut in service for the citizens of Winnipeg.”  “We have in front of us a budget that costs more and delivers less,” he said.

Davidson will be appearing at the City's Executive Policy Committee today in opposition of the proposed budget and subsequently at City Council on December 17, 2013.
