The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination has been commemorated on March 21 every year since a 1966 declaration by the General Assembly of the United Nations.The day serves as a world wide reminder of the dire consequences of racism, and urges us to recall our collective obligation and determination to combat racial discrimination.
