International Women's Day (IWD), is a day for women around the world to celebrate their achievements past, present and future, and reflect upon the barriers that still need to be overcome in order to achieve greater gender equality.
On March 8, join us for a virtual day of action on International Women's Day 2017! Here’s what you can do:
- Use the IWD2017 Winnipeg icon and banner on your social media profiles;
- Wear a red arm band and put stickers in visible spots (order by emailing iwd.wpg@gmail.com)
- Download the selfie "fill in the blanks" sheet(s), snap a pic, and post on social media or simply post an image using these hashtags: #IWD2017, #BeBoldForChange, #ADayWithoutAWoman
- Rest, relax and meet up with friends - even if it's just for a moment!
