Ratification Vote Results Re: Letter of Understanding (LOU) - Library Reorganization

Two virtual meetings were held on March 16 and March 21, 2022 regarding the proposed Letter of Understanding (LOU) on the Library Hour Package Re-selection Canvass.
CUPE 500 members who will be impacted by this LOU include all Permanent LSA 1⁄2’s and all Part Time Employees within the Library Services Division (with the exception of the Business Officer, Support Services, Virtual Services, Part Time Librarians or the WELL Coordinator LSA 3)
The ratification vote closed at 11:59 pm on March 21. The vote was conducted via a reputable and secure third party vendor called Simply Voting. The results of the vote have been tabulated and we can announce that members have voted in favour of ratifying the new LOU.
The Union and Employer will now proceed through the signing process. Implementation updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
