Do you believe that all Canadians deserve to retire with dignity? Over 11 million Canadian workers are without workplace pension plans and an increasing number of seniors are living in poverty. Study after study shows that Canadian workers can’t afford to save enough for retirement. Unless things change, baby boomers and future generations are facing serious declines in living standards upon retirement.
Support the Canadian Labour Congress’s proposal to double Canada Pension Plan (CPP) benefits to ensure a better minimum pension for all Canadians.
Here’s what you can do:
Sign the petition and join thousands of Canadians who are telling their Members of Parliament to increase pension benefits under the Canada and Quebec Pension Plans, and implement a fully funded plan to phase in such an increase without delay.
