Streets Maintenance Division Pilot Project - Seven Day Operations

March 08, 2012 at 8:20 PM

Employees working in the Streets Maintenance Division have been invited to participate in a pilot project that would see regular Streets Maintenance crews operate on a 7 day schedule. The project will involve approximately 22 employees and will be piloted in the North Area.

The new work day being proposed will be 11.5 hours in duration and run from 7am - 6:30 pm on a rotating weekly schedule (i.e. 5 days on, 5 days off) until the end of the summer operations.

Employees who agree to attend an upcoming information session about the pilot project, will have an opportunity to withdraw from participating, if they so choose.

Employees who are not part of the pilot project or choose to withdraw, will continue to work in the regular operations as per your application to the 2012 Spring/Summer Bulletins or through the General Recall Process.

The Local will continue to monitor and update the membership regarding this pilot project.
